I don’t recall ever seeing things that light up without a halo surrounding it, and I wouldn’t mind never seeing light clearly. All I see is a scattered glow around the light source, whether in street-lamps, traffic lights or neon signs. I think the lack of focus in light makes it softer and more mellow, and it makes everything 400% more festive during Christmas, since the lights resemble fireworks.
